Program

During the Stained Glass Tiffany Technique workshop, a skilled craftswoman with over 20 years’ experience in working and teaching this craft, will guide you through the ancient Tiffany stained glass technique. Unique and original in its kind, this technique was invented in 1870 by Louis Comfort Tiffany to replace the old lead binding, creating a new style of stained glass windows and lamps rich in detail and elegance.

In her small workshop located in the centre of Florence, near the Church of Santa Croce, you will learn and practice the techniques of working at various levels:

-cutting
-engraving
-grinding
-taping
-welding

The object students will be working on will be chosen with the support of the instructor, who will assist students in this process from designing the object, to its completion.
